2026 Spring Piano Recital: 38 Students at Glenview Community Church
On May 30, 2026, 38 students from Munno’s Piano Studio performed at our Annual Spring Recital at Glenview Community Church. It was a chance to bring everyone together and celebrate the music our students have been working on throughout the spring.
Most of our time together happens in individual lessons, so a recital offers a different perspective. Students get to hear one another play, and families get to see the wider studio community their children are part of. For me, it is a chance to step back from teaching and simply listen.
A Performance to Be Proud Of
There is a lot of work behind a few minutes at the piano. By recital day, a student has spent time learning the notes, figuring out difficult passages, and deciding how to make the piece sound musical. Then comes the challenge of playing it in front of an audience.
That last step takes courage. I want every student to leave a recital feeling proud of having prepared something and shared it with others. A performance gives them something specific to look back on as they continue learning.
To all 38 of this year’s performers: congratulations. Thank you for the effort you put into your music and for being part of our spring recital.
Our Spring Recital Tradition
At our 2024 Annual Spring Recital, 23 students performed at Northbrook Public Library. This year, we gathered at Glenview Community Church with 38 performers.
It is lovely to see this tradition grow. Each recital adds another chapter to the studio’s history and gives our students a reason to pause and recognize their progress. As a teacher, I value having these moments to remember alongside the everyday work of lessons.
Thank You to Our Families
Thank you to the parents and family members who support our students week after week. Making room for piano practice in a busy household takes patience. So does listening to the same piece many times as it slowly comes together. Your encouragement matters, especially on the days when practicing feels difficult.
Thank you also to Glenview Community Church for hosting our 2026 spring recital and giving our students a place to share their music.
I’m grateful to teach this group of young pianists. Congratulations again to our 38 performers, and thank you to everyone who helped make May 30 a special day for Munno’s Piano Studio.
